All 3 of our divisions, O, HO, & N, will be on display for this 4-day event celebrating different modes of transportation of yesteryear. Come out and enjoy the O, HO, and N divisions, as well as Sauder Village, at this great event!

Henry County Fair

The Henry County Fair is more than just an event — it’s a celebration of the county’s agricultural heritage, youth involvement, and community. For over 172 years, families have gathered to cheer on 4-H and FFA members, compete in livestock shows, enjoy entertainment, and connect with neighbors.
Whether you’re entering the show ring, attending a grandstand event, or enjoying a funnel cake, there’s something for everyone at the Henry County Fair.
The O division will again have a train layout set up in the historic Henry Ford Depot located on the fairgrounds.

Fulton County Fair
Fulton County Fairgrounds, Wauseon, OH
The Fulton County Fair is one of Ohio’s most attended and celebrated county fairs, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to experience its unique blend of tradition, entertainment, and community spirit. At the heart of the fair is agriculture, honoring the hard work of local farmers, showcasing livestock, and offering opportunities for youth to learn and grow through 4-H and FFA projects.
Beyond the barns, fairgoers enjoy thrilling grandstand shows, concerts, rides, and the best fair food around. Known across the state as the “Top of Ohio” fair, it continues to be a highlight of the year for families near and far.
The O division will again have a spectacular train layout set up in the Junior Fair Building located on the fairgrounds.
Come out to the fair, enjoy a milkshake, and check to the trains!!

Toledo Zoo Lights Before Christmas
Nature's Neighbnorhood, Toledo Zoo, Toledo, OH
Enjoy the spectacular lights at the Toledo Zoo. While you are there, don't forget to visit Nature's Neighborhood. The O division will be on display for the 40th year at the Toledo Zoo!! Each year, thousands of people visit our train layout. Come out and see what they all see!

Holidays at the Manor House
Metroparks Hall, Wildwood Metroparks, Toledo, OH
Ring in the holidays at one of northwest Ohio’s most festive celebrations. Each year, volunteers from the community transform over 30 areas of the 30,000-square-foot Manor House into a holiday wonderland. Tour the house and see why thousands of people make Holidays at the Manor House part of their holiday tradition.
Visit Metroparks Hall on the same dates to see the O gauge model train exhibit by the Swanton Area Railroad and Model Club. This is our largest and most elaborately decorated layout. The magic of the layout will definitely put in the Christmas spirit!

Wild Lights
W.W. Nature Knight Preserve, Perrysburg, OH
Celebrate the coming of the new year with wildlife-learning and holiday lights! Life-sized animal statues are adorned with lights, decorations, and great themes, giving warmth and color to the cool winter nights.
Walk the trail between 5:00-8:00 p.m. to see the spectacular displays.
All three divisions of the Swanton Area Railroad and Model Club will be operating model train layouts in the Nature Center in conjunction with the Wood County Parks District. We will be on display Friday, Saturday, & Sunday from 5 pm – 8 pm.
