Kansas City Southern Railway Company (Reporting Marks: KCS) is the smallest and second oldest Class I railroad in North America that is still in operation. Only to be surpassed by the Union Pacific. It was founded in 1887, and services the central United States. It also owns another Class I railroad, Kansas City Southern de Mexico. (Reporting Marks KCSM). KCS is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. Most KCS locomotives now support the "Southern Belle" paint scheme, a unique modern red, yellow, & black color.
