It is the mission of the Swanton Area Railroad and Model Club, Inc. to bring the public together in peace, fellowship, and to promote the history and spirit of model railroading. We strive to accomplish this through the information and dedication of our members and by bringing an awareness to the general public through our displays and knowledge. We are proud members of the World's Greatest Hobby. We promote and support Operation Lifesaver and general safety in respect to the prototype railroads. Most importantly, we do this to have fun!
The Swanton Area Railroad & Model Club was formed in February, 1983, and incorporated as a non-profit organization in December, 1997.
Membership is open to individuals over the age of 15 who have an interest in model railroading. Family memberships are also available. A membership application can be printed out and brought to any club meeting. More information about the Club's policies are listed in the Bylaws.
